The marketLennart

The choice of antique arms is steadily diminishing concerning fine original pieces, as the majority of the existing examples has already found the way into internationally important museum's collections. What makes collecting difficult is the problem of well made forgeries and historism items that are dealt unrecognised at auction houses and the trade. Remaining originals are often destroyed due to improper restoration or inappropriate handling and hence are irretrievably lost for the cultural heritage.

Our vision

Our task is to take custodial care for remaining rarities and to bequeath them to the ambitious fancier. If necessary our objects are conservationally treated by the best restorators in the world in order to perpetuate them for the next generations. It is our particular concern to coach our clients in building up their collections as a partner in a close and faithful relationship. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced collector - we provide the necessary security and reliability for your purchase. If you plan selling single objects or whole collections of fine antique arms and armor we do offer you various options in order to optimize your financial achievements.

Our competitive edge

The appraisment of antique arms and armour belongs to the most demanding challenges of the art market. We are specialised in the trade of early works and offer an internationally distinguished assortment of high grade uniques. Among our clients are collectors, museums, wealthy individuals, and decorators, who look for the unusual eyecatcher for the ambitious customer. Our competitive advantage lies in the profound research of potential objects, especially when it comes to the question of lost provenances. This features together with professional expertise additional security for your purchase in questions of authenticity and it restitutes the history of our objects - a history that is often very exciting and reflects the story of art collection from the beginnings. We offer our service of provenance research also to institutional clients, both for clarifying questions of authenticity and the investigation of criminal condemnations during the Nazi dictatorship.
